Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 1956. It is a directly affiliated and reformed institute of the China Academy of Machinery, a large state-owned science and technology group under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. Domestically, it is the leading research institution engaged in the research and development as well as technology transfer of forging and stamping, heat treatment, and mold technology. The Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Technology has established national and industry technological innovation platforms such as the National Engineering Research Center for Precision Forming, the Beijing Engineering Technology Research Center for Clean Heat Treatment, the Machinery Industry Engineering Laboratory for Near-Net-Shape Forming, and the Machinery Industry Engineering Technology Research Center for Automobile Parts Forming Die.
